Naaldwijk Wilhelmina Square

On September the 18th 2017 wethouder Theo Duijvestijn conducted the first action for the refurbishment of the Wilhelminaplein, together with students from group 7/8 of the Public Dalton School Naaldwijk.

The Wilhelmina Square will become an attractive and bustling square with a pleasant atmosphere which contributes to a healthy economic environment for the center of Naaldwijk. By emphasizing the historical character, the central positioning of the village pump and adding vegetation and seating areas the square will become more comfortabel, more secure and a better place to linger. Historical lighting with a modern candle-like LED technology makes for an atmospheric evening picture. The plan was established in an intensive participatory project with various stakeholders.
